The Parklane is without a doubt a fine hotel with comfy rooms and rooftop swimming pool but there's a big town out there. So with my knee tightly bound I set out for Chamundi Hill and it's temples. Picking a tuktuk right outside the hotel I agreed a price for going waiting and coming back.
The main temple was nice but not awe inspiring even though it's dated as 12th century. Another smaller temple tucked away at the back was much prettier and atmospheric.
After a reasonably good walk around it was back into the tuktuk and down the hill to the next stop beside the giant Nandi statue. A fabulous ediface carved from a single piece of black granite.
Last stop was to call into a sweet shop to pick up some Mysore pay a local delicacy that tastes like soft crumbly fudge, quite yummy.
That's it for today resting the leg for the afternoon and decide tomorrow if I need to take it to the hospital.
